Pumpkin and Pecan Pie Kits

Pecan pie kit

Pumpkin pie kit

I very much wanted to help bake the pies for Pie Night this year. Unfortunately, I have rehearsals every night, so I didn't think I'd get the chance. I mentioned my dilemma to Mom last week, and she said if I really wanted to, I could do the pecan and pumpkin pies. According to her, those are the easiest.

Yay! I get to help! I called Mom on Saturday to ask what ingredients I needed to buy. She went through the recipies and decided she had everything for both, so I didn't buy anything. Sunday, she went through the list and asked what I had. I have eggs -- that's it! She said I didn't need to get anything! So, like the incredibly patient and sweet woman she is, Mom put together two kits with all the incredients I'd need for both pies...she even made three pie crusts for me to take home, while I played cards with my brothers. Yes, I know that makes me look bad, but I was so excited to have all of us home. Hope you're enjoying your vacation, Aaron! Can't wait to see you again while you're in town!!

So, I returned home from rehearsal tonight at 11:00pm, preheated the oven to 350, took photos of the kit, got angry at my DVR for NOT RECORDING THE SEASON FINALE OF DANCING WITH THE STARS (seriously?! It's been perfect for 8 weeks, and it doesn't record the LAST SHOW?!), mixed the pecan stuff together, and put the pie in the oven. I may have burned it, but I got worried when I tried to take the pie out and it was all jiggly! I would have called Mom to make sure that was okay, but it was 12:30am at that point, and I didn't want to wake her. I really hope I didn't ruin it. After all, I'm still not terribly used to my oven. What if it said 350 but was really warmer or colder? Hmmm.

I'm working from home tomorrow so that I can put together the pumpkin pies. Mom said they sometimes take longer to bake then expected, so I thought I'd play it safe. I am grateful to my boss for her support in this endeavor.

Maybe I should not have agreed to pies that are such a staple. If I screw them up I could ruin someone's pre-Thanksgiving and I don't know if I can handle that pressure.

Okay, I'm tired. I'm going to go to bed, and when I wake up I'll be brimming with all sorts of self-esteem.

Next year, I would like to make at least one pie myself from scratch...

Oh! How I love pie and Pie Night!

Seven Things that I Love

Kate tagged me over a week ago to list 7 things that I love. Sorry it took so long, my friend! I may be a little lazy, but I usually get around to these things.

1. Sunday evening at my mom's house. I really, really look forward to Sunday evenings. I love hanging out with the family, watching the previous week's DWTS with Lindsey, helping prepare dinner if I arrive early enough, watching Gunner's parents try to get him to eat in spite of all the fun stuff to play with at Grammy's house, eating a home-cooked and delicious meal AND dessert, watching Desperate Housewives and chatting with Mom. Sunday evenings are warm, comfortable, and peaceful. I don't know what I'd do without them.

2. People to play with. As much as I enjoy living alone, I am thrilled that I have so many friends I can call up to hang out or just talk to. My friends are all so different from each other, and all have talents and strengths I admire. It's fun to play with them!

3. British accents. So, I'm kind of obsessed with the British, and I think it starts with the various accents. I love speaking with a British accent myself and hearing others speak in a British accent. There are so many dialects! I love that British accents usually means we're all dressed up in period clothing, or watching some hilarious comedy, or swooning over romantic Austen-esque figures. Most of my movie-star crushes are British. British accents are just so dashing!

4. A body that works. I love that I have this healthy body that allows me to run, and dance, and work, and sleep, and eat. Thus far, I haven't been plagued with any type of chronic illness, and I feel very blessed. I can do so many things that I want to do, and any limitations are my own doing. I'm sure could be a much better dancer if I just worked at it.

5. Butterfingers. My new candy obsession is the Butterfinger. It's crunchy, it's peanut-buttery, it's wonderful. I have two more snack size from the bag I bought for trick-or-treaters (I didn't get any treaters, so I had to eat them myself). Maybe when they're gone I can quit cold-turkey? If not, I'll have to start buying full-sized ones...

6. I can work and support myself. Growing up, I really wanted to avoid working for a living. However, I am proud to know that I can do this. I don't have to rely on someone else to take care of me. I like my job; it covers my cost of living and allows me to grow and continue to learn. How lucky I am that I live now and not during Jane Austen's time when an unmarried woman didn't necessarily have that option.

7. Stories. Movies, television, live theatre, music, books, scrapbooks, memories, conversation -- I love a good story in any form. I love getting to know people through their stories. I love getting to know myself as I dissect my reactions and emotions about a story. I love performing and sharing stories with others. I remember people's names so much easier when I know a story about them too. It really is the quickest and best way to form friendships.

What am I Eating?

Ingredients in a Fiber One Oats and Chocolate bar:

Chicory root extract, chocolate chips with confectioners shellac (chocolate chips [sugar, chocolate liquor, cocoa butter, detrose, milk fat, soy lecithin], ethanol, shellac, hydrogenated coconut oil), rolled oats, crisp rice (rice flour, sugar, malt, salt), barley flakes, high maltose corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, sugar, canola oil, honey, glycerin, maltodextrin, palm kernel oil, tricalcium, phosphate, soy lecithin, salt, non fat milk, peanut oil, cocoa processed with alkali, natural flavor, baking soda, color added, almond flour, peanut flour, sunflower meal, wheat flour. Mixed tocopherols added to retain freshness.

(It really was tastey. I promise. Thanks for sharing Emily A!)

Now I have a few questions:
1. Should I be worried that there was shellac in this product?
2. What is chicory root extract and why is there so much of it in here?
3. Should I be looking up ingredients like phosphate and alkali and tocopherols, or will it just scare me that I ate them?
4. Why did they have to add color, and
5. What color was it before?

See, this is why I don't generally read the ingredients in my processed, pre-packaged food. While I am excited that the first ingredient wasn't sugar, this food has made me think. I don't like thinking when I eat. I just want to enjoy my snack!

Your Choice

People's Choice Awards
Go to PCAVote.com

Go vote for your favorites if you like. I mostly just enjoyed reminding myself of the fun and movies I watched this year: Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, Baby Mama, Iron Man, and Prince Caspian, among others. Good times.

Meanwhile, if you haven't been watching Pushing Daisies on ABC Wednesday nights at 7pm MST, please do this week! It's an entertaining, weird, brilliant, yet ABC may cancel it if there aren't enough viewers this week and the next. Help me keep it on the air!

(If it helps capture your interest, stars include Lee Pace, Chi McBride, Swoozie Kurtz, Ellen Greene, and Kristin Chenoweth. Give it a chance!)

A Day Off

Tuesday was Veteran's Day, and consequently, I didn't have to work that day! Hooray! I cannot tell you how much I needed the break. I've been feeling a bit overwhelmed with the deadlines coming closer, plus the stress of the move, finding and getting comfortable in a new ward, rehearsals every night, and life-changing news from several members of my family. The last couple of months have been hectic. I'll freely admit that I'm pretty jealous about my free time, so not having any free time at all is added stress. I probably could have used a whole week off, but I was grateful for the day.

I started the day by staying in bed until 11am. I woke up at my regular time and dozed a little -- I find lying in bed to be so relaxing, don't you? When I finally dragged myself out, I cleaned my condo from top to bottom. It felt so good! My home has been sorely neglected in the cleanliness department for the past couple weeks, and with work and rehearsals getting intense at the same time, I don't know when the next chance to deep clean will be. Hopefully I can maintain so it won't need as much work next time...

Sunday, I had invited my family to lunch for Tuesday's holiday, but it turns out most of them had to work. Luckily, Mom and Gram were both free, so they joined me at the Training Table for some "All-American" cuisine. I was pretty excited to finally walk across the street to eat at the restaurant, which I'd been wanting to do pretty much since I moved in. It's not necessarily that I'm a huge fan of the Training Table; mostly I just think it's cool the restaurant is literally across the street from where I live! Having my mother and grandmother there was a total bonus, and we ate our onion rings, cheese fries, and burgers (well, I had a chili dog -- YUM!!) and chatted about whatever popped into our heads. It was a pleasant way to pass the time.

After lunch, Mom and Gram decided to do some shopping, but I really just wanted to sit around for awhile, so I did. I had a bunch of movies on my DVR I needed to watch and delete. I managed to get through The Da Vinci Code and most of Armageddon before I had to run to Albertsons for much-needed groceries, and Dancewear Unlimited for footwear for the play. And of course, on the way back home I found a dance store much closer to my place than the one I'd found in the phone book. Boo. Next time I'll know where to go!

I had time to make myself a quick dinner before rushing off to rehearsal, which was where I spent the rest of my evening. True to form, I stayed up much too late, and was really tired the next morning, which was Wednesday but felt like a Monday. What kind of people schedule a holiday for a Tuesday? The rest of the week has felt a bit off. Oh well. Like I said, I really needed the break from work -- the last bit of free time until after the play opens. It was a great day!

Meanwhile, it was Veteran's Day. Did I take the time to call my dad and thank him for serving my country? No, I did not, and I feel badly about that. I am grateful for all those living and who have passed on who defended my country, the people they love, and the freedoms we enjoy. I do my part, too, in my own small way, but I am proud to know many who have and are serving. I hope they enjoyed the day as much as I did.

Zils and Jingling Scarves

So, my costume as Vadoma the gypsy for Babes in Toyland is AWESOME! We had the "costume parade" Saturday, where everyone in the show wears as much of the costume as they have. In addition to the vest and skirt the costumer made for me, I put my skull scarf on my head, and wrapped my fringed shawl and a scarf around my waist that my mom loaned me from her box of costumes. (What kind of mom buys a scarf with coins sewn to it "just in case?" An awesome one, that's what kind.) On a whim, the director, Nolan, decided to include me with the others he'd chosen ahead of time for publicity photos. I had no make-up and no jewelry. Thankfully, some kind castmembers made me up; I made do without the jewelry and apparently took some cool photos. (Unfortunately, for the fourth time last week I didn't have my camera with me when I saw the cool photo opportunity, hence the picture of Esmerelda from Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame.)

On Tuesday, Nolan handed my double, Skye, and I each a little red felt bag. I opened it up and found: finger cymbals, otherwise known as "zils"! Yay! Skye and I had both asked for them, 'cause how cool would that be? Nolan said if we wanted a set for each hand we'd have to share, but it turns out it's kind of hard to grab your skirt to dance when you have them taking up the finger space, so we're just wearing the one set. Now, between my zils, and the jingling scarf around my waist, I make a lot of noise when I dance! It sounds a little like sleighbells; it's the best! Now I just have to get comfortable with playing with them. Skye is an amazing dancer, so this is just like a duck to water for her, but I'm still working on it. Skye and the choreographers have all been really supportive and worked with me. The one dance we've learned is really cool. Thanks again, Jann, for giving me permission to change my solo a bit so I feel more comfortable with it! I'm excited to learn the other two dances tonight. I can't believe we open 3 weeks from today!

Hopefully, the script author will have presented Skye and I with the rest of the lines before then. There are at least two snippets of conversation we still don't know. Ack!

The Goose is Getting Fat

Last night as I was driving to rehearsal, it started to snow! Well, it was sleet. I would have been more excited except, well, I was late and I wanted to speed, but that's never a good idea when you cannot see the lines in the road and the road is all slickery anyway. And so to the driving conditions I say "boo on you". No, not just "boo". The conditions deserve a "FIE! FIE ON THE ROADS!!" To the snow itself I say "woo-hoo and welcome!"

So, now we've established that yesterday was dark and rainy and booey. So I was way super, hyper, crazy excited to see the lovely, fluffy snowclouds today! Rainclouds are dark, but snowclouds are beautiful and light!! Love them! Love the snow! Love that there was so much extra sunlight because the sun was reflecting off the snow on the ground and then again on the clouds above. Hooray for beautiful snowy days and an excuse to wear scarves every day this week!

Meanwhile, back to last night driving to rehearsal: I decided that I was bored with a David Archuletta song on Radio Disney, and as I flipped through my pre-programmed channels, I found one playing Christmas music. What the --? On November 4th? Is Christmas really coming that soon? Yes. Yes it is. Needless to say, I chose to sing Christmas songs on the way to and home from rehearsal. There is just something so wonderful and positive about Christmas music, and it just felt good to sing the words to familiar songs like "Winter Wonderland" and "Joy to the World"!

Christmas is coming!

I Voted

Last night, I was so excited that I get to vote today that I almost couldn't sleep! Imagine, little old me getting to help determine the Federal and State officers, and policies that will shape my nation's future. How cool is that? I went first thing this morning, and the experience wasn't how I expected. Keep in mind, this is only my third time voting. The first time, I was on my mission and voted by absentee ballot, and the second time I voted by absentee ballot as well. For some reason, I thought there would be lines around the block and I'd be standing out in the rain for hours and hours. Instead, I walked right in, was the third person in line at the tables, waited about two minutes for a booth for which there was no curtain, and was finished casting my ballot in no time. The whole thing took maybe 10 minutes. Ten minutes to be a part of my nation's history and future. It sounds very romantic doesn't it?

So, now my prayers are that the officials elected will truely do all they can to help the American people. There is a lot going on in the world and within our country, and I hope that my vote will help steer us in a positive direction; one that will secure our freedoms and ensure that my children will have the opportunities my parents and I have been blessed with. I feel very lucky to live here.

...One Hundred!

This is my 100th post! I cannot believe it has come so fast! A bunch of my friends, for their 100th post, chose to post 100 facts about themselves. I like that, so I'm going to do it, too. If you choose to read it all, thanks in advance! If you don't, I'm not offended, but you'll totally be out of the loop ;)

1. I was born the day my parents moved into their first house in Utah.

2. I don't particularly like apples.

3. My third and fourth grade teacher liked my stories so much that she gave me a blank book to write stories in. I still have it. There is a lot of poetry in there, which is funny because...

4. In general, I am not a fan of poetry.

5. In 8th grade, I wore long pants to school maybe 4 times. The rest of the time I wore shorts or skirts. Apparently I wasn't cold, even though I'm sure it snowed that winter.

6. The first play I remember auditioning for was Annie at the Promised Valley Playhouse. I totally rocked "Tomorrow" at the callback, but wasn't cast.

7. I served an english-speaking mission, but bore my testimony in French once.

8. I took ballet and tap when I was five, and ballroom dance when I was eleven. I wish now that I hadn't quit.

9. I like to camp, but not to hike. I will hike when camping, however. It just feels wrong not to.

10. I learned to snow ski when I was eight, and I remember thinking it was really cool there were eight of us in the class.

11. The first play I remember seeing was a touring production of Cats. That soundtrack was also the first CD I ever owned.

12. If my parents have a problem with their television, VCR, or DVD player, they ask me to take a look at it. I can usually identify and either fix or offer useful advice on the problem.

13. One of the main reasons I love the Harry Potter series is because it got so many kids reading. I think that is inspiring, and would love to be a part of a project like that. (Plus, the books are awesome.)

14. I was 15 and 10 months when I went on my first date. His mom drove us to Lagoon and the two of us met up with a group there.

15. The orthodontist removed my braces the day after my first date.

16. I had either an appliance to make my jaw wider or braces for 3 1/2 years.

17. I love the book The Princess Bride. Once, I read the section where Buttercup tells Westley that she loves him, and Westley gives his response, to a friend of mine at BYU. A year later, she took a directing class and asked me to play Buttercup in that scene. Performing that scene in the Margetts Theatre is the only time I ever performed on stage at BYU.

18. My favorite place to sing is in my car.

19. My Grandpa Craven used to call me his "dizzy blonde".

20. I was very relieved when I recieved my mission call to the Arizona Phoenix Mission. I had been terrified I'd be called to Brazil (because I had a lot of friends who got sick there) or Japan (where I'd have to eat seafood).

21. I think I'm going to end up living in Connecticut at some point. I would be okay with that.

22. I worked as a dental assistant for two months before my mission, and every summer but one during college. Thanks again Dad!

23. The other summer, I worked at a Day Care. The four year olds were my favorite group.

24. My top two choices for girls' names are Elizabeth and Grace, my mother's first and middle name. If any of my brothers, cousins, friends, etc name their kids either of those names I may just use them anyway. Assuming my future hubby is okay with that, of course.

25. I have only been to two concerts in my life. One was a Peter Brienholt concert, and the other was a benefit for the Ceran family.

26. Saturday morning cartoons I have the most vivid childhood memories of: Smurfs, Jem and the Holograms, G.I. Joe, He-Man, Heathcliff, Transformers, Beverly Hills Teen, and Captain Planet.

27. I did not get my driver's license until I was 17 1/2, and that was only because my mom refused to drive me to any more rehearsals.

28. I had my ears pierced when I was 11 years and 3 months old.

29. In spite of my loathing for seafood, I will eat small amounts of tilapia, trout, and tuna. I have tried many others, but I really, really don't like the texture. Plus, lobsters and crabs are bottom-dwellers. Eeeeeeewwwwwwwwwww!

30. I have had LASIK eye surgery twice. The effects are awesome!

31. Was born a month early, delivered feet first, and weighed 4 lbs. 6 oz.

32. My comedic heroes are Carol Burnett and Joan Cusack.

33. I once accidently dyed my hair purple. It was supposed to be brown, so I could play a 9 year old Jewish German girl during the Holocaust. We ended up just covering the purple with brown hair mousse.

34. Where in the World is Carmen San Diego? was my favorite computer game in Junior High.

35. The first episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation that I remember watching is season 4's "Reunion". The one that made me love the series was "Conundrum", in season 5. Fortunately, it was already in syndication, so I could catch up on the rest of the series quickly.

36. I sometimes think it would be cool go live in Jane Austen, Shakespeare's time, or the old west. And then I remember they didn't have modern plumbing or feminine products, and I'm grateful that I live when I do.

37. My brother Aaron suggested we do Oklahoma one summer. We were only in one scene together. I still run into friends from that show who tell me how great Aaron was in it. They were right!

38. I don't really like shopping, except for shoes.

39. My hair is naturally curly, but I have been known to perm it so that the curls are consistent.

40. I had a crush on Ben Affleck until he hooked up with J Lo.

41. I saw Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World in theatres three times.

42. My first community play was Toad! The Wind in the Willows at City Rep Theatre.

43. I had 10 companions during the 18 months of my mission. That was accomplished by serving in 4 three-panionships.

44. I have no desire to own a dog, but it isn't a deal-breaker.

45. I didn't see Dead Poets Society until about 5 years ago. I wasn't that impressed.

46. I played the violin for a year in fifth grade. It's my biggest regret that I didn't keep it up. I love the fiddle!

47. I would rather be too warm than too cold. I used to think it was the other way around, because I love wintertime. Then I tried tracting in the snow...

48. My great-great-grandfather, A.C. Smyth, arranged the music for the song "Joseph Smith's First Prayer" in the LDS Hymnbook. The great-great-granduncle of one of my companions wrote the lyrics.

49. I still have the baby-blanket my mother made for me.

50. I would much rather sing onstage than give a talk, but I'd rather give a talk than sing in church, unless I'm in the choir.

51. Both thumbs and all of my fingers (except my pinkies) are double-jointed. This creeps a lot of people out.

52. When I was not quite 18, I had surgery on my right foot to remove a bunion. I now I have a very long scar and two pins in my right big toe. (Yeah, most people don't need bunions removed until after middle age!)

53. I am terrible at the game Uno but still love to play.

54. My senior year, my Seminary teacher had a mock wedding to illustrate the differences between a civil wedding an a temple wedding. She asked for the oldest Senior girl, and it was me. The oldest Senior boy was the star of the football team. I was in heaven! I wore a toilet-paper dress, and he gave me a chocolate kiss to seal the deal. A few months later, he introduced me to some baseball friends as his wife. Ah, memories.

55. I was horrified by the state of my nails when that star of the football team took my hand to put the ring on it. I have not bitten my nails since.

56. I would like to learn to knit, but struggle because of my lefthandedness. Perhaps it will be yet another lesson in patience.

57. My weight on my original driver's license was 118.

58. I lost my two front teeth on the same day. The first was pulled out with an apple at lunch. The second came out when I used it to pull out a snarl in the tail of a My Little Pony at my friend Debbie's house (the tooth was loose already).

59. I had minor surgery on my bottom lip once. My dad did the anethesia, but by the time I got into surgery it had started to wear off. It pinched, but wasn't too bad. That is, until I realized I could see what was going on reflected in my doctor's glasses. I'd had no idea there was so much blood involved. Fortunately, blood doesn't bother me, so I didn't panic. It was kind of cool, actually!

60. As a street performer at the Dickens' Festival, I liked to pretend I was pregnant. My baby belly was convincing enough that several close friends did double-takes when they saw me.

61. I prefer most vegetables over fruits.

62. My family had a time-share on a houseboat in Lake Powell for about 10 years. In all that time, I only water-skiied or wakeboarded a handful of times. I'm more of a ride-in-the-boat kind of girl. I do drive boats pretty well, though.

63. I collect ribbons and can tell you the story behind most of them (usually involved with one play or another).

64. Any time I consider getting a tattoo, I remember how goofy old ladies -- and old me, for that matter -- with tattoos look. Then I'm not tempted anymore.

65. I somehow made it through college without reading Moby Dick or To Kill a Mockingbird. They are both on my Goodreads to-read list.

66. Most of my shortcuts take FAR longer than the regular route. And yet I keep trying.

67. My dad was either Scout Master or Assistant (to the) Scout Master for quite a few years when my brothers and I were young. I got to go along on some of the trips. Scout Camp is fun!

68. I own four movie versions of Cinderella: 1) Disney's version, of course; 2) the Rodgers and Hammerstein interpretation with Whitney Houston; 3) Ever After; and 4) A Cinderella Story starring Hilary Duff.

69. It really irritates me when former U of U students give me a hard time for going to BYU. Both are good schools and the rivalry is childish and hurtful.

70. I took a zoology class in high school, and was the only person in my group of four girls who would actually dissect anything. The shark was the coolest! Sometimes I think about going back to school and studying zoology just for fun.

71. One year at Girl's Camp, I tripped on a log, fell into the campfire pit we were cooking dinner in, and burned my left elbow on the coals. I still have a scar. It was painful, but I remember being quite cheerful about it, and I told the nurse who treated me the story of "The Mouse and His Mother."

72. Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman broke up during my mission. At the time, I remember thinking, "Maybe I should go to Hollywood and be a movie star. I could be such a force for good!" However,

73. I don't have any desire to be famous. I could live with being rich, though.

74. At that time, I had a companion who had wanted to be a rock star. That area was rather conservative and didn't know what to do with us.

75. I had my first cavity 2 years ago. Up until then I thought people were overreacting when they talked about how horrible it is getting those things filled. I don't think that now.

76. I love making lists. Can't you tell?

77. In eighth grade, I tried out for cheerleader. We had a few weeks of training where we learned a dance, a cheer, and the cool jumps, and then had to perform all of those and a cheer we made up. At the official tryout, I forgot my cheer and started crying. I was glad when I didn't make it past the first cut. I still remember most of the moves, though.

78. People who know my dad say I look like my dad, and people who know my mom say I look like her.

79. My main diet in college after my mission was Slim Fast and spaghetti. It's a wonder I'm still alive and that I still like spaghetti.

80. I love the prophet Joseph Smith. If I could have a conversation with anyone from history, it would be him.

81. I have a "Little House on the Prairie" fantasy about running through a courtyard of chickens. The closest I've ever come is running at the seagulls in Libery Park, except the seagulls won't let me get close enough to actually run through them. Lousy birds.

82. I enjoy signing my name.

83. I chew gum during meetings to keep myself awake at work.

84. My roommates my Freshman year at BYU voted me "Most Likely to Become an Aerobics Instructor" because of all my random energy and generally cheerful demeanor.

85. My dad taught me to respond "I'm happy" when people ask "How are you?" I love it! It always surprises the person who asked, and usually starts a conversation.

86. Sometimes I think it would be fun to be a full-time extra on t.v. or movies. I could just take my book and read when not working. I was an extra on an episode of Touched by an Angel, and two episodes of Promised Land, and quite enjoyed it. I even got to be a lighting/microphone rehearsal stand-in for the lead teenage girl for one of those Promised Land episodes!

87. There's a lottery in New York City for the musical Wicked, where they reserve 25 front row seats for every performance, and draw names. The winners can buy up to 2 tickets for $25 each. The first time I saw it, my friend Heidi won the lottery, so she and I got to watch from the front row. It was AWESOME!!

88. When I was little, I wanted to be a writer and an actress. Dreams really do come true!

89. I will always associate Chicken-in-a-Biscuit crackers, beef jerky, comic books, and the musical group Riders in the Sky with car trips.

90. Since my hair is so distinctive, a lot of people either remember me, mistake me for someone else they know with similar hair, or ask if they know me somehow.

91. I am terrified to try an honest-to-goodness cartwheel. I just don't trust my arms to hold up the rest of my body.

92. My first kiss was a stage kiss during rehearsal for Tom Sawyer. The director was the mother of the guy playing Tom. I was so embarrassed!

93. Babes in Toyland will be play #51.

94. I went to exactly one football game in high school, and that was just because my brother was playing.

95. I have filled at least 20 journals.

96. Barbie dolls were my favorite toy. I still have several boxes of Barbies, clothes, and accessories in storage.

97. Board games I own: Cranium, Scene It, Disney's Scene It, and the Game of Life.

98. It used to bother my mom that I spent a lot of time on the computer in college. She now acknowledges that my computer skills are responsible for all of my post-college jobs.

99. The first Utah Jazz game I attended, the Jazz played the Chicago Bulls. The game went into triple-overtime, and Michael Jordan was thrown out. Sweet!

100. My family marvels that I am able to find the perfect birthday card for everyone. This is only because I read pretty much every card at Target until I find the best one (or several -- doesn't hurt to buy in bulk)!
