The blur that was August

Wow. August is over! I spent pretty much the entire month rehearsing and opening my show, but managed to squeeze in a few other activities, such as:

A day trip to Lagoon
The Samurai is possibly my favorite ride, along
with The Spider and the new Air Race
Liz and I on the Turn of the Century -- whee!
Mandie and I on the Scrambler (I love that her t-shirt
is advertising her photography business!)
The whole group on line for the Classic White Roller Coaster...
which is slowly being "upgraded" to a boring brown

Seeing several friends in The Three Musketeers
This guy's fight choreography ROCKS!!

Another baby blessing for one of my "City Rep girls'" kids
Any excuse to get together and act like we are all still sixteen!
(Sad that one of our group wasn't able to come. I like to
imagine she's also wearing red and standing next to me)

Celebrating Mom's birthday with the family at Famous Dave's,
and a visit from Peter and Jordyn
P & J
(Mom not pictured, per her request)

The newest member of the Smyth clan
We call him Zeus.
My brother claims the full name is
Arfinauld Barksmore Yappington III,
but I'm not sure if he's teasing me...
wouldn't be surprised if it were true!

A bridal shower for my cousin's fiancee
The bride-to-be talks about how she and Spencer met
Lindsey holding our newest cousin,
Maddie Jane
Gorgeous cousins Natalie and Emily

Mini Earnest reunion after a performance of See How They Run
Missy, Katie, and Joe were hilarious in their roles!
From left: Missy, Katie, Tyler, me,
Joe, Jillian, Allyson, and Justin

Some rehearsal photos, just because
Jillian (Meg), me (Amy), and Summer (Beth),
ready for publicity photos
(Yes, that is all our real hair)
Popping out from the floor when
you least expect it!
(Or maybe you will expect it,
since Jo gives it away)
Photo from the balcony: Meredith (Mrs. Kirke), Megan W (Jo),
and Ricky (Prof. Bhaer) talk about Jo's "wonderful guten tag"
(which they explain means "good day" in German)
Steve (John Brooke), Karina (Meg), Wanda (Marmee),
and Caitlin (Beth) admire the new piano
I am a little sad that I didn't take photos of some of the other fun things I did :-(

Now, on to September! It's likely to be just as busy and full of Little Women, but I'm looking forward to some other stuff, too. Sometimes it's nice to have the next several weeks of your life already planned and filled to the brim!
