...Or the worst part, as the case may be.
I finally baked some cookies so that I could offer something nice to my downstairs neighbors. Truth to be told, they aren't the best cookies in the world. They taste okay and are soft (I gave them the good batch. I burned 2 out of 3) but nothing special. However, they are the first cookies I've baked in years, and I made them from scratch, and I'm glad they weren't a total disaster.
The good news is the neighbor I met was really, super nice! The bad news is his wife wasn't there, and I'm afraid she's the one I really wanted to win over. But, the man was nice and we had a nice little chat while I stood in the hallway. I told him I try to be quiet and it turns out that he can hear me when I sing but he thinks I'm really good :) Plus, I'm not nearly as annoying as the drummer who lives below him. Bwahahahahahaha!
Done and done and a lot less painful than I thought it would be. They've been living their since last spring, so the visit was waaaay overdue. I do wish I'd met the wife, too, but now at least I've met one of them so maybe -- if they were the rats who called the police on me -- next time they'll warn me before calling for backup.
Now, what to do with the rest of these slightly burned cookies?

So proud of you:-)
For two reasons.
It has really been that long since you made cookies? I used to make dozens every week - I'm the cookie queen! I will glady hand over my title to you if you want it;-) Cookie queens get to wear tiara's when they bake...just saying...
I honestly can't remember when the last time was that I made cookies. I make other desserts from time to time, but I'm not a huge cookie fan, and when I DO want one I only want one or two and can usually appeal to my mom, who makes billions of different kinds that are wonderful! I could make some and give them away, but somehow I never remember to do that :P Maybe someday in the future I'll be more Cookie Queen-ly!
