Caramel

I just learned that caramel is made of toasted (aka burned) sugar. What the WHAT?!! I should bake more often... or even just sometimes (which is more than how much I bake right now, which is almost never).

This just solidifies my love of slightly burned stuff. It's so often better than regularly cooked things. Burned marshmallows, grilled/burned chicken, burned cheese, sauteed/burned garlic, and now caramel.

I'm so very, very happy right now!

You should totally come try our turtle tarts at work (pecan crust, caramel filling and milk chocolate ganache swirl on top! DELICIOUS!) We do also have caramel buttercream that we put on top of cupcakes, brownies, basically everything delicious! :) I <3 Caramel too!
