Thursday, June 16

I promise, I really DO want to do everything!

Number of work days I have left until my latest big project is due at work: 10
Number of work days I wish I had: 30
Number of hours I will have worked this week by the end of Friday: 42
Number of hours I would have worked this week, if I hadn't had prior commitments in the evening: 50
Number of evenings between now and the day my big project is due where I have fun stuff planned: 10
Conclusion: Any "free" time I have in the next two weeks, I will be working. This saddens me greatly because I'll probably be working on Saturday.

Number of plays or special events that friends will be starring in within the next two weeks: 9
Number of plays or special events that friends will be starring in that have a performance this Saturday: 6
Number of other commitments later Saturday night that I will be late to if I see one of those other events: 1
Conclusion: I would really appreciate it if next year my friends all did the SAME play, or the arts councils themselves would space them out a bit more. As it is, I'm not going to get to see them all, and it saddens me greatly because my friends are talented!

I feel like June has exploded on me. I am so stressed about work that anytime someone brings up the possibility of getting together outside of work, I flinch inwardly. In reality, I'm really not that busy, it's just the work thing freaking me out.

But the work thing on top of the fact that so many plays are going on at the same time, and I am already committed to other stuff, and a tough professional decision I need to make pretty quickly that's tearing my heart to pieces, and helping to plan the ward campout which is approaching very fast, and I had a callback last night that may have gone well (I couldn't tell) and I might have to start throwing rehearsals into the mix, and there's a certain young man I would like to see more often starting in the near future, and I can't seem to get enough sleep and get to work early no matter how I tell myself each morning that I'll do things differently... well...

A virtual bouquet
just for you!
This is not meant to be a guilt trip. I love you, my friends. If I don't make it out to see your play or have to forfeit a movie night, I apologize. I want to see you, and I'll do my best to help make it happen as soon as I can. (Laura, I have NOT forgotten about you.) Thank you for wanting me to be a part of your life! I am truly honored!

Sincerely,

Miss Megan

Thanks for making it to my show! Or thank you Draper for opening a weekend earlier so Megan could make it! When does your schedule go back to semi-normal so we can hang out one night?
